Update on power restoration

We are down to 809 members without power now; 697 of those are in Lumpkin County and damage is severe especially in the Hwy. 19 North area.  We realize what an inconvenience this is and please know that we are working hard to restore all power as soon as is safely possible.  According to the National Weather Service, we had wind gusts of up to 39 mph on Sunday night, so it is no surprise so many trees came down bringing the power lines with them.  It is a monumental task to get everything repaired after high winds like that, and we appreciate your patience as our crews work hard to get everyone restored.  Thank you for your patience.
