Local teachers earn $50,737 in classroom grants

The 2022 Bright Ideas teacher grant program, sponsored by Amicalola EMC, awarded $50,737 to 74 winning teachers across our service area.  Teachers in 30 schools received grants of up to $1,000 each for classroom projects.

The program is funded using unclaimed property in accordance with Georgia’s unclaimed property laws.  The 2022 grants bring the total amount awarded since the program began in 2010 to $576,870.59.  Amicalola EMC is proud to support our schools, our teachers and our students.
