When storms roll in, our crews head out. Line crews and right of way crews driving various kinds of trucks accompanied by the equipment it takes to get the lines put back up. But, there’s also folks you might not see that are just as busy.
Our Member Service reps will spend all day answering telephone calls from members who need information. (This is separate from the calls that go into our Automated Outage Management System.) The staff members who man our Dispatch center have been hard at it since the first outage call came in late yesterday afternoon. There are also staff members in the warehouse, truck shop, operations & engineering, accounting, communications and support staff areas who are busy with “storm duties” (things that are now required and take precedence over our normal routine duties).
We will continue working hard in all these areas until all power is restored. Thank you for your support and your patience as we work hard to get the lights back on.
