Amicalola EMC held its first ever virtual scholarship banquet on April 27, 2021. Due to the limitations Covid-19 has put on public gatherings, the decision was made to forego the usually youth awards banquet and announce the winners through GoToMeeting, a web-hosted online meeting software that enables users to meet via the Internet in real time.
131 high school students from across the EMC service area were recognized for their hard work. Each student will receive a $1,000 scholarship, payable to the college of their choosing. Winners were selected based primarily upon grade point average and financial need.
Amicalola EMC is pleased to offer financial support to the Class of 2021. All scholarships are funded using unclaimed capital credits, in accordance with Georgia’s unclaimed property laws.
