Last night we hosted our annual Youth Awards Banquet at Chattahoochee Technical College and celebrated some outstanding students from Cherokee, Dawson, Gilmer, Lumpkin and Pickens counties. Amicalola EMC gave away a total of 136 $1,000 scholarships to 2024 seniors. In addition, we recognized our 2024 Washington Youth Tour winners who are pictured below. From left to right: Stacey Fields, our Director of Public Relations, Farah Jones (Pickens High), Tlung Mang (Dawson County High), Addyson Poole (Gilmer High), Deacon Shull (Gilmer High), and Todd Payne, our President and CEO. These four high school juniors will represent Amicalola EMC this summer as they travel to Washington, D.C. on an all expenses paid trip of a lifetime! These four were also awarded a $1,000 scholarship, bringing the total amount awarded to $140,000.
