6:00 p.m. Power Restoration Update

We continue to make good progress today.  We are now down to a few specific areas where equipment is being changed out, etc.  The primary areas our crews are working in are Big Canoe in Dawson/Pickens counties, Lake Arrowhead in Cherokee County and north Gilmer County.  Some members who had power previously have been taken out temporarily in order to make the necessary repairs.  We will continue working, despite the bitter cold and extreme conditions, to restore all power as soon as is safely possible.  Again, we appreciate your patience.  We know that being without power is an inconvenience and we are working diligently to get everyone back on.
