5:30 p.m. Power Restoration Update

Our crews continue to battle this winter storm. We are now down to 955 members out, the majority of which are in Big Canoe. The challenging situation at Big Canoe has been a tough one, involving an underground line on the side of a bridge, the line in conduit, and any water in the conduit pipe frozen solid. Digging a new line into ground that has been frozen for two days in sub zero wind chill temps has been time intensive. These are just some of the many challenges are crews are facing.
But we can say with confidence that our line crews and support personnel are some of the finest in the nation. You will not find a more dedicated group of people. They are your friends and neighbors, and are doing everything within their power to get your electricity back on so they can get home to their families too. We thank you for your patience and for your understanding.
