11:00 a.m. Power Restoration Update

The extremely cold temperatures are causing challenges to our crews.  Currently in Jasper it is 11 degrees, and the wind chill is 6 degrees below zero.   We commend them for their hard work during very difficult circumstances.

There are currently 1182 members out at 63 separate locations across our ten county service area.  We have contractor crews that are working in addition to our crews, and all outages will be addressed as soon as is safely possible.

There are a couple of fairly large outages in the Dawson/Pickens areas of Big Canoe and surrounding areas that crews have worked on all night, and will continue to work on.  Most of the other outages are small, less than 10-20 meters, and are scattered across our ten county service area.  We have contractor crews that are working with our crews, and all outages will be addressed as soon as is safely possible.

If you are experiencing a power outage, please try to stay inside and exercise extreme caution when using backup heating sources.  Updates will be provided to you as they become available.  Thank you for your patience and please stay safe.
