Wind Advisory remains in effect over much of north Georgia

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory which remains in effect until 6:00 pm today for much of north Georgia.  Winds from 15-25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph are predicted.  Falling trees and tree limbs can result in power outages.

Currently, over 4000 members are without service across our service area in 51 separate locations in Gilmer and Pickens counties . Our crews are working to restore power.  Please remember to stay away from any downed power lines and always assume they are still energized.
