Monday night, November 14, 2022 beginning around 11:00 pm we experienced at least 6 brief power outages of the transmission line bringing power into the Talking Rock substation. Affected areas were Carnes Mill, Talking Rock, Fisher Creek, Jones Mountain, Price Creek, Pleasant Valley, Burnt Mountain, Grandview, Old Highway 5, Wingate Road and surrounding areas. The last occurrence was around 5:35 a.m. this morning.
It is our understanding that the transmission and generation facilities involved have isolated the issue and this should result in an end to the brief and sporadic power outages. Thank you for your patience and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
