Operation RoundUp January 2018

The Operation RoundUp board met in January to distribute over $15,000 in grants for the first quarter of 2018. Recipients include Dawson County FFA, Dawson County Wee Books, Enotah CASA, Gilmer Christian Learning Center, Gilmer High Technology students, Good Samaritan Health and Wellness Center, Isaiah House, Joy House, Lumpkin Family Connection, North Georgia Interfaith Ministries, North Georgia Pregnancy Center, Pickens County BOE emergency fund and Pickens Ferst, as well as donations made to individuals for hearing aids, rent, clothes, medicine, propane gas, dental work, food, and eye glasses. In addition, a donation totaling $5,000 was made to 5 different member households whose primary residence was completely destroyed by fire.

Take a second to notice the next time you open your electric bill. If your balance does not end in .00, then you’re not “rounding up”. Please consider joining today! It can and does improve the quality of life for local residents.
