In support of agricultural literacy, Georgia EMC has once again partnered with Georgia Farm Bureau and the Georgia Foundation for Agriculture to gift the 2024 American Farm Bureau Book of the Year to local libraries.

Today, we had the pleasure of joining Pickens County, Georgia Farm Bureau Insurance in presenting “My Grandpa, My Tree, and Me” to Pickens County Library. This story follows Grandpa as he tenderly cares for the trees in his orchard, including his favorite — a pecan tree, planted for his granddaughter on the day she was born.
Rachel Hoffbauer with Pickens Farm Bureau read this story to students at Hill City Elementary School during National Ag Week. We are so proud of our community and their dedication to educating our youth about agriculture.
