Lower your summer energy bill by raising the thermostat

Did you know almost half of your electric bill comes from heating and cooling your home?  For energy efficiency, we recommend a summer thermostat setting of 78 degrees. For every degree below the recommended setting, you can expect a 3%-5% increase in energy use.

Each year the Georgia Public Service Commission conducts rate surveys and their findings show that Amicalola EMC continues to have rates that are lower than the state average and lower than the local investor owned utility.

We work hard every day to keep the lights on and the rates affordable.  For more ways to save, please visit the HomeEnergy Suite on our home page.
