January 2024 marks the 25th anniversary of Amicalola EMC’s Operation RoundUp. Last night the board met and celebrated this important milestone. To date our Operation RoundUp program has awarded $2.5 million dollars to non-profits and qualifying individuals in the community.
Where do these funds come from? The contribution is from the members of Amicalola EMC and participation is 100% voluntary. When you join Operation RoundUp your electric bill is rounded up to the next dollar each month. The average co-op member donates approximately $6 a year. It may not seem like much, but when more members participate the money begins to add up and the opportunity to make a difference increases.
Last night, as we passed around thank you notes from past recipients, it was clear to see #RealHeroesRoundUp so thank YOU for your contribution to this cause!
