Breast Cancer Awareness Day at Amicalola EMC

Amicalola EMC employees dressed in pink today and are wearing bracelets to help bring awareness to Breast Cancer. Held in October every year, Breast Cancer Awareness Month aims to promote screening and prevention of the disease, which affects one in eight women in the United States every year and 2.3 million women worldwide.

Amicalola EMC observes ADHD Awareness Day October 6

ADHD is one of the most common neurodevelopmental disorders of childhood. It is usually first diagnosed in childhood and often lasts into adulthood. Children with ADHD may have trouble paying attention, controlling impulsive behaviors (may act without thinking about what the result will be), or be overly active. October is ADHD Awareness Month and Amicalola EMC employees are showing their support by wearing orange awareness bracelets and orange clothing.

2023 Amicalola EMC Task Force Banquet

Last night, the annual Amicalola EMC (AEMC) Task Force banquet was held at Chattahoochee Technical College in Jasper.  Close to 100 members from across the AEMC service area enjoyed a meal and listened to remarks by Board Chairman Charles Fendley, CEO Todd Payne, GA Representative Rick Jasperse (R), District 11 and GA Representative Johnny Chastain (R), District 7.
