Small Change, Big Impact: CoBank Partnership Strengthens Operation Round-Up Program

Here’s a polished continuation that keeps the focus on the partnership while naturally weaving in the history and purpose of Operation Round-Up:

Amicalola EMC is proud to partner with CoBank through its Sharing Success program to contribute $15,000 to the Amicalola EMC Trust in support of Operation Round-Up.

Since launching in 1999, Operation Round-Up has allowed Amicalola EMC members to make a meaningful difference in their communities simply by rounding up their monthly power bill to the nearest dollar. Those extra cents—often less than 50 cents per month—are contributed to the Amicalola EMC Trust, an independent nonprofit organization that oversees the distribution of funds through the Operation Round-Up program.

Over the years, the program has provided assistance to individuals, families and nonprofit organizations across the Amicalola EMC service area. Funds have helped support needs such as food, shelter, clothing, medical expenses, education and other community assistance efforts where funding may otherwise be limited.

One of the unique aspects of Operation Round-Up is that 100% of member contributions go directly back into local communities. Amicalola EMC covers the administrative costs of the program, ensuring every donated cent stays focused on helping neighbors in need.

The additional support from CoBank’s Sharing Success program will help expand the impact of Operation Round-Up even further. CoBank’s program matches contributions made by cooperative organizations to charitable causes, helping strengthen the communities cooperatives serve.

“Operation Round-Up is a great example of how small contributions can come together to create a lasting impact,” said [NAME/TITLE]. “We’re grateful for our members who participate each month and for partners like CoBank who help us continue supporting local individuals and organizations.”

Participation in Operation Round-Up is voluntary, and members who are not currently enrolled are encouraged to join. By allowing their bill to be rounded up to the nearest dollar each month, members can help provide hope and assistance to people right here in our local communities.

Members interested in participating can sign up by contacting Amicalola EMC or visiting [website/link].
