- Bright Ideas Application (currently not accepting applications)
Amicalola EMC’s Bright Ideas grant program is a competition designed to reward teachers who take the time to plan, research and put into action a creative learning experience for students. The 2013-2014 school year is the fourth year for the Bright Ideas program at Amicalola EMC. Georgia certified teachers at elementary, middle, high schools, and private schools in the Amicalola EMC service area may apply. Funding for the program comes from unclaimed capital credit refunds, released once a mandatory five-year waiting period has been exhausted. O.C.G.A §44-12-236
Teachers may apply for education grants beginning August 1, 2013. Grants will be funded up to a maximum of $1,000 each. Teachers who submit their application by the early-bird deadline of August 30, 2013 will be entered in a drawing for one of several $50 gift cards. The final deadline to apply is September 13, 2013.
Bright Ideas grants finance creative classroom projects that would otherwise not receive funding.
The Bright Ideas education grant program is part of Amicalola EMC’s ongoing commitment to our communities. Amicalola EMC is a not-for-profit electric cooperative that serves more than 46,000 locations in ten northwest Georgia counties.
