Amicalola EMC has great news for
teachers! Beginning with a pilot program slated to roll out
on August 1, 2010, teachers at certain elementary schools
served by Amicalola EMC may apply for the Bright Ideas
Education Grant Program.
Amicalola EMC’s
Bright Ideas program is the only education grant program
exclusive to elementary schools served by the cooperative.
Teachers at select elementary schools may apply for grants of up to $1,000.
The deadline for teachers to submit an application is
September 15,
2010. Teachers who submit their application by the
early-bird deadline on August 31 will be entered in a
drawing. Two lucky winners will receive a $50
American Express gift card.
The Bright Ideas
grant program is designed to financially support classroom
projects for which funding is currently unavailable. Program

www.amicalolaemc.com. The primary elements of the
application process include an explanation of the project
and its potential benefits to students. A sample
application and information about the program is attached.
