January 2024 marks the 25th anniversary of Amicalola EMC's Operation RoundUp. Last night the board met and celebrated this important milestone. To date our Operation RoundUp program has awarded $2.5 million dollars to non-profits and qualifying individuals in the community. Where do these funds come from? The contribution is from the members of Amicalola EMC and participation is 100% voluntary. When you join Operation RoundUp your electric bill is rounded up to the next dollar each month....

As we continue to be weather aware today, tonight and into tomorrow it's a good idea to double check your supplies and make sure you have the things that you need. We urge our members to have the things you need easily accessible to you in the event of a power outage.

Prolonged winter weather can put a strain on our electric grid, creating potential for energy supply shortages. Here are a few energy-saving tips you can try at home to reduce energy use, save money and help relieve pressure on the grid during extreme winter temps. #saveenergy

To apply for a scholarship, the student must be a high school senior and reside in an Amicalola EMC household.  Scholarships will be awarded based upon grade point average, SAT or ACT scores and financial need.
